같은 거리인데 갈 때와 올 때 비행시간이 다르고, 지도 위 항로는 왜 휘어 보이는지, 미국에 가면 왜 출발한 날보다 이른 시각에 도착하는지. 비행시간 계산기를 만들면서 자주 받은 질문과 직접 찾아본 답을 정리했어요.
비행기 속도와 바람, 하늘길 사정 같은 원리부터 서머타임과 시차 적응, 긴 비행을 덜 힘들게 보내는 법처럼 여행 전에 알아 두면 좋은 내용까지 담았어요.
Why the same trip takes longer one way than the other, why routes curve on a map, and why you land in the US before you left. These are the questions that came up most while building the Flight Time calculator, and the answers we found.
They range from how fast planes fly and how wind and airspace shape routes, to daylight saving, jet lag and getting through a long flight.
